      We’re looking for coaches who are passionate about helping people to develop their surf knowledge and capability and offering an exceptional and highly professional experience for our students. We’re looking for coaches who love to teach and want to improve their own coaching techniques far beyond the basics and develop a career in the surf industry.
      The role involves carrying out surf school operations such as equipment and van maintenance, daily kit preparation, and pack down. The team of 4/5 coaches will guide the group and private lessons for the general public and our partners. Overall as we are a small business so flexibility and a good work mentality are essential.
      Delivering a high level of coaching. Inspiring, supporting, and motivating students and developing their surfing skills. This includes giving students tailored one to one feedback.
      As an experienced surfer who can surf various surfboards, and draw different lines, you must be inspired to teach beginners and intermediates, as this is the level of most of our guests.
      Responsible to keep all students safe at all times
      You must be a great presenter/ teacher and not be afraid of standing in front of people, as well the ability to explain the technical aspects of surfing, ranging from someone that has never surfed before through to experienced surfers, in a fun and interactive way.
      Execute lessons that are of a professional level, fun, and also safe, but also be flexible to the needs and levels of each individual guest and thus a high amount of personal communication is required.
      Being focused on each students’ individual expectations.
      Ensuring our equipment and vehicles are looked after.
      Pick up and drive each day the group for the best spot.
      Needs to be a solid team player and committed to helping the team as a whole.
      Cleaning all equipment daily. Wetsuits, surfboards, vans, lunch boxes.
      Maintaining damaged equipment and reporting any faults to your line manager asap.
      This is a small team, so everyone has to work hard to make the job most enjoyable for the whole team.
      Selecting the best surf spots for the group.
      Tailoring sessions to suit group needs.
      Cleaning equipment daily, including wetsuits, surfboards, vans, and lunch boxes.
      Kit maintenance, including logging damage to kit, fixing kit, ordering new parts, and spotting opportunities to reduce damage to equipment.

    • Requirements

      Level 1 Surf Coaching certificate by the ISA, ASI, or national governing body equivalent.
      Minimum 1 year of surf coaching experience.
      RLSS, SLSGB Beach Lifeguard, or Surf coach safety certificate.
      Full driving license for driving in
